School of Visual Arts (SVA) presents “The Influentials,” an exhibition featuring distinguished female alumni of the College and the diverse group of artists who have influenced their practice. “The Influentials” is both an investigation into the creative lineage between contemporary artists and a dialogue between mentors and mentees that crosses generations, gender and media. The exhibition is co-curated by independent curatorAmy Smith-Stewart and SVA Director of Development and Alumni Affairs Carrie Lincourt.

Artists, young & old, have contributed their individual voice
collectively with other artists around the world, to form
this historic puzzle art project. It is a simple way for
each of us to express ourselves or tell our own story.

The Puzzle Art Installation & Collaborative Project exists as proof that
art is essential to life. There are no rules to how you make your puzzle
piece… you can draw, paint, write, collage or mount things to your
piece. Just be sure to make something meaningful to you.

All You Need to bring is a $10 donation and your good ideas.

Your piece will be included in an exhibition at Art Connects New York in
SoHo (ACNY at 491 Broadway, 5th Floor, SoHo, NYC 646.546.5334)

The reception is on Wednesday, July 6th (6-9pm) and will remain up until
the end of July.

After that reception they will join the thousands of pieces created across
the country and around the world.
